Your opinion matters to us!
In your opinion what brand do you think utilizes social media the most?
I think that Rolex indeed uses a lot of social media to position its watch. It is a good way to reach the audience and make them feel Rolex is timely...
wow, nice blog! I could immagine, that luxury brands are generally reluctant to use social media because their target group does not necessarily use social media. but looking at your report disabused me from this prejudice!
at least it's not omega... couldn't even find them on facebook!;) i think that social media could be appropriate as a marketing platform even for luxury brands, considering the fact that facebook etc. attract more and more also "older" people and not just students...
I really like this watch. I love these watches with classic lines. I prefer them to digital because I can see all the gears that make it up. The color is wonderful especially with the nuances.
Wow nice Blog people, i firstly would agree with Matt's statement but but by reading your report i was surprised to know that most of the brands you can find on some sort of social platform
I am not too aware of watch companies advertising their products..If I had to chose, I would say Rolex is the one company that I hear the most from (ie Roger Federer, Tiger Woods ads etc)together with Breitling, both of which i have recognized at different international (sports)events.
Honestly, I haven't ever noticed any of those brands making use of social media at all. All I remember is brands like Tag Heuer or Breitling sponsoring big sport events, but that's about it.

Dear Immanuel Swiss Watch Masterpiece is very appreciative of your opinion on the subject, however we had a preselected choice of brands, thank you for your input. If you are interested in the information about the brands we have on our blog you can download the full report thats provided on the blogs main page.
Dear Bloggers for everyone who signed under " Anonymous" and stated that they never recognized brands like Rolex, Chopard or others available on our Blog using any kind of social media please read our report and you will see if the brand you thought does not use social media actually does. You might be surprised to see that most of the brands actually use some sort of social media.
Bring präsent in social media for luxury items is a big like advertising diapers in a magazine for the elderly: simply the wrong target group. But then again, it is comparably cheap compared to glossy ads so why not use it. So far, I think Rolex is doing the best job.....
It's Tag Heuer, without ny doubt. They have a nice looking and updated homepage and several sub-homepages for specific models and events, plus they use bot FaceBook and Twitter and do so well.
i cogitated about this matter for a very long time. and i have to avow that cogitation is not my favourite activity but i have never seen any commercial of rolex, omega etc. at facebook or other social media. and i´m very interested in watches!

I would love to own a rolex datejust!
ReplyDeleteI love tag heur watches!!! Some more news?!
ReplyDeleteI agree to what Matt said. If I would have a Rolex (or the money to have one) I wouldn't expect it on OSM.
ReplyDeleteBut on the other hand, wouldn't it be nice for "Rolex-owners" to like it on facebook, follow it on twitter, see the newest products and whatsoever?
at least it's not omega... couldn't even find them on facebook!;) i think that social media could be appropriate as a marketing platform even for luxury brands, considering the fact that facebook etc. attract more and more also "older" people and not just students...
ReplyDeleteI think its rolex.
ReplyDeleteIts the best known brand in the world. If rolex doesn't place social media advertisement, the watch owners do.
In my opinion that's Rolex because even if you don't want to see the ads from them you are getting it, for example at Facebook
ReplyDeleteI think the target of these brands is not on social media, that's why they do not use them.
ReplyDeletei believe it is Rolex. having a successful campaigns and more social media followers like Facebook and twitter.
